Job Description Lead Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION
Role/Responsibilities/Key Tasks:
Design and develop ETL data flows and processes based on requirements for the data warehouse and application interface
Designs, develops and supports ETL processes for data staging, extraction, transformation, and loading of fact tables, data cleansing, updating type 2 slowly changing dimension tables, automating ETL processes.
Provides handson development, unit testing, system testing and support for ETL processes, including bug fixes
Collects, organizes and generates new documentation for ETL projects including technical specifications, ETL test scripts, change control, implementation checklists, and data flow diagrams.
Collaborates with Solutions Architect and Data Architect to understand business requirements and data model
Collaborates with Data Architect and DBA team to optimize ETL performance
Follows and improves ETL strategy, “best practices" and standards as they relate to ETL in the environment
Assists with Informatica repository administration services and enforces ETL object reusability
Provides support for ETL processes and Data Warehouse


Qualifications:
Education/Experience
BS in Computer Science or related field
35 years’ experience in ETL development and Data Warehousing
In depth knowledge of and experience with Informatica PowerCenter v9.1 as a designer, developer and Administrator
High proficiency in understanding relational, star schema and dimensional data models
Proficiency in Oracle 11GR2 SQL including optimizing SQL statements and the use of SQL editors
Expertise in PL/SQL, stored procedures, Linux shell scripting
Knowledge of dimensional modeling (star schemas / ROLAP, OLAP, MOLAP)
Demonstrated ability with MS Office 2010 (Outlook, Word, Excel), Visio, Erwin
Experience with Oracle Financial Analytics, DAC, RPD desired
Experience with Oracle Hyperion Essbase v.11 (EAS, EIS, Maxi scripts, load rules, calc scripts) desired

Initial assignments would involve deliverables for all phases of ETL development (analysis, design, development, testing, production deploy). If qualified, assignments could also involve OBIEE metadata development and performance tuning. Assignments would be for the following projects: Franchise Performance Measures, Hyperion Planning Interfaces, Next Generation POS Rollout, Back Office Service Provider Integration, OBIEE SelfService Reporting.

The engagement is for 6 months with an option to renew and potential for right to hire.

Not able to work with sponsorship for this requirement.
