has partnered with a government integrator to identify a GIS developer for a contract to permanent position in Chantilly VA.
JOB
Responsible for performing development, analysis, design, coding, testing, verification and validation, and maintenance of custom geospatial desktop and webbased solutions including geospatial databases. Analyzes and documents software requirements, prepares design specifications, develops software, creates and implements test plans and installation packages on a C#.Net / ArcGIS platform. Uses knowledge of software lifecycle processes to ensure quality applications are designed, tested and delivered.
The developer translates requirements into data structures through data models and implements physical structures using knowledge of SQL Server and database engineering principles. Debugs and characterizes defects, providing detailed configuration and descriptions for passing and failing tests for test reports. Provides customer support during requirements gathering, systems integration and acceptance testing.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Looking to add a developer to fit within an existing development team with skills that meet:
GIS
¿ Intimately familiar with ESRI 9.x technology with respect to the desktop client (3+ years of experience
¿ Experience with ESRI’s ArcGIS Server (9.x,10.x)REST and SOAP API’s (2+ years of experience)
¿ Familiarity with Google Earth/KML
Development
¿ Experience developing traditional SOAP and RESTstyle HTTP services also highly desirable.
¿ Deep understanding of ESRI Rich API including Flex (2+ years of experience)
¿ .NET experience in creating tools for ArcGIS Desktop (3+ years of experience)
¿ Experience with python development (2+ years of experience)
