Job Description SUMMARY
Manufacturing automation engineer responsible for the design and development of production test, calibration, and data collection systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develop and document design for semiautomated production test systems of embedded systems products
Specify, procure, and integrate hardware for data acquisition and automation
Develop LabView software for automation, data collection, and database logging
Verify and validate production test environment
Must be able to effectively work in Engineering,QA and Manufacturing environments
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Direct experience using National Instruments LabView, including data collection, instrumentation control and hardware interfacing required.
Experience with NI Multifunction DAQ interface programming and serial port interface required.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing test methodologies required.
Database (SQL or equivalent) programming experience.
Knowledge of embedded system hardware and realtime operating systems desirable.
Experience in Medical Device manufacturing documentation requirements.
Automatic Test Engineering (ATE) experience.
Familiarity with Ethernet and serial communications.
Familiarity with bar coding systems.
Experience working in both Manufacturing and Engineering environments.
EE or Computer Science degree.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Test Engineering or related discipline.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to communicate using the English language
Strong written and oral skills
