Job Description Our client is looking for a junior Java/J2EE Developer to lead an eCommerce initiative that entails providing new development on an existing webbased application. This position is a direct placement opportunity. Candidates will mainly be working in a backend development role, but must also be wellversed in frontend development. The client is starting to expand on a global scale and needs an experienced Java developer to spearhead efforts to rewrite their current eCommerce platform.
The Developer will provide an initial assessment of the current state of the web portal, create and implement necessary changes and then work to bring the rest of the development team up to speed on the portal's functionality.
The resource will have a lead role in this eCommerce initiative; however, they will have a lot of collaborative interaction with the rest of the Project Management and development teams. The Developer should have 13 years experience with JAVA/J2EE in both back and frontend development. They should also be well versed in Spring, Hibernate and basic navigation in various Relational Databases (MySQL, SQL, Postures, etc.)
The Java Developer should be motivated and someone who enjoys coding. Knowledge of other programming languages besides Java is a huge plus.
