Job Description POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Supply Chain Analyst position is responsible key analysis, reporting, data management and key projects in support of the Supply Planning teams.
This role requires very strong analytical and data management skills, and the ability to guide small projects. Attention to detail is critical, as the consequences of inaccurate data/analysis are significant. A successful candidate must be dependable – able to complete work without direct supervision and able to selfprioritize tasks as needed. The analyst must provide excellent customer service to internal data requestors.
Responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to the following:
Report Development
The analyst will be responsible for developing reports and system tools as necessary to enable better decision making within the Supply Chain function. This includes data extraction from knowledge warehouse and inventory databases, data manipulation and/or analysis, and effective final data presentation. Many processes will need to be automated through macro programming to provide future efficiency.
Process Improvement
The analyst will responsible for executing and maintaining existing business reports and processes and identifying / executing improvement opportunities. Scheduled tasks must be run dependably. This also includes updating existing processes as business needs change and correcting problems that arise. The analyst will need to work with existing databases, data sheets, and macros to accomplish these tasks.
Project Management
The analyst will be responsible for working with Supply Chain and cross functional partners to solve reporting / data / analysis needs through the identification of the needs, assessment of the data required and its source, the development of a viable and repeatable solution and the validation of the results with user teams.
Minimum Skills & Education Level
BS or BA Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Finance, or Supply Chain Analysis roles
Expert Microsoft Access skills, including knowledge of query development and manipulation, forms, macros, and database linking. Must be able to create new databases and edit existing databases
Expert Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced knowledge of formulas, pivot tables, charts, and formatting
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of VBA programming, including the ability to both write code and edit existing code.
Strong analytical skills, with data extraction and manipulation experience. Must be able to conduct analysis and identify data patterns
