The SQL Server 2008 Firestarter event is a 1/2 day, free event for SQL Server developers and administrators. You’ll be able to learn about the newest features in SQL Server 2008, and how you can leverage them to improve your existing applications. Developer topics will include the new features in T-SQL. including the new data types for dates, times, and spatial values. BI Developers will be interested in the sessions on SQL Server Analysis Services improvements and how they can speed the development of OLAP cubes. New features in Reporting Services 2008 will also be covered. For administrators, server consolidation options and the new policy based management framework will be reviewed.
